Drake ups his fashion game for VIEWS

Drake dropped his much-anticipated album VIEWS today exclusively on Apple Music and iTunes.

In addition, the Canadian rapper included a stylish digital booklet to go with the album. We are happy to see Drake in polished suiting (which appears to be Tom Ford) for these photo shoots, as he is often spotted in his own OVO athleisurewear in candids. Drake isn't a total newbie to the fashion game, though. After all, he opened his last album Nothing Was The Same with a reference to Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather Eau de Parfume. In return, Ford named one of his lipsticks after the rapper in his Lips & Boys collection.

Of course, this booklet wouldn't be Canadian without featuring Canada Goose bombers and shots of Toronto.

In other news, we will be one of the first in North America to sample the artist's new whiskey, Virginia Black this summer with the help of the LCBO, so stay tuned.

Screen Style: USA's legal drama Suits has more Canadian connections than you think

Wikipedia

USA's legal drama Suits just began filming its sixth season in this week.

Meghan Markle/Facebook

With the help of the show's wardrobe stylist Jolie Andreatta, the on-screen style is divine (especially Harvey Specter's (Gabriel Macht) endless Tom Ford attire) and we often find ourselves coveting nearly every outfit we see on the screen.

Mashable

As simple and classic as a cardigan and pencil shirt may be, Andreatta has that special touch of making it all seem effortless. According to The Tig, a few of the labels she uses includes Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, and, of course, many Christian Louboutin pumps.

Fashion aside, the popular show is American but has a few quirky Canadian fashionable connections as well.

FILMING
Although the show is supposed to be based in New York City, the majority of the filming is done in Toronto, Canada (deemed one of the most stylish cities in the country). The show features the well-known Bay Adelaide Centre, and often enough viewers can see the TCC street cars in the background.

BFF's
Meghan Markle who plays Rachel Zane on the show is good friends with fashion strategist Jessica Mulroney (who is married to e-talk's Ben Mulroney, son of the former Prime Minister, Brian Mulroney), who styles Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, the wife of our current Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.

COLLABS
Sarah Rafferty who plays Donna Paulsen on the show recently collaborated with Vancouver designer MEZZI, for their Cosima bag. The bag features smart technology and can charge your smartphone and iPad. MEZZI fits the show's vibe to a tee with it's modern clean lined aesthetic.

While you're anxiously waiting for the next season to air, Netflix offers seasons one through four, and five is currently available on iTunes.

Dressing for Success with Canadian Coveted Label Judith & Charles

Our Editor-in-Chief Jessica Eritou was invited to attend the Women in Communications and Technology's "Time for Real Change: Mentorship and Opportunites for Women in Communication and Technology" at the Rideau Club this week.

It was a great panel discussion focusing on the political landscape and opportunities available for women in the capital.

Judith & Charles dressed her for the occasion featuring all new pieces from their Spring collection. The Canadian label caught the attention of the fashion world when Sophie Gregoire Trudeau was spotted in their "Close Dress" for the Canada 2020 reception in Washington D.C.

Feminine touches with hints of menswear are a constant theme to the label. According to the label, once she, the client, is familiar with her size, the consistent quality of tailoring will allow her to know how each of their pieces will fit.

The label also has strong ties to Canada. Ninety per cent of the clothes made by Judith & Charles are locally manufactured, which supports local economies.

For Jessica's look, the company dressed in their French blue Beckmann jacket. It is perfect for making a bold statement, and very appropriate for business functions due to the modern tailoring and tuxedo collar.

As the jacket was the main focal point, the Swanson blouse is the perfect piece to wear underneath, which features a very flattering neckline.

To bring the look all together Judith & Charles' flattering flat front Takashi pant ties in the black single button on the Beckmann jacket, and as well if you choose to roll up the jacket's sleeves.

A big Thank You to Judith & Charles, as well as Margaux, Sandra, and Maria from the company for making this happen.
